Sanjay leading Sugar Land Community on SL Power Plant issue

Sanjay making the community concerns heard.

Sanjay has been an active member of the Sugar Land community with regular

attendance at Sugar Land City Council meetings and speaking up on issues such as

Imperial development, multi-family housing, City budget meetings and Sugar Land

vision workshop.

Sanjay also led the dialogue between the Sugar Land community and the City Council

during the Sugar Land power plant issue and strongly represented community views to

the City leaders. He organized and led the Townhall meeting at Telfair Museum on this

issue. His efforts together with the efforts of many from the community led to the

reversal of the decisions of the Sugar Land city on Power plant in Sugar Land. This is

one example of a community leader standing up to represent the views of his

community.
